    The Order of the
    Thelemic Golden Dawn. 

    Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. 

    93 is the numerical value of Thelema, the Greek word for Will.  It 
is also the numerical value of Agape, the Greek word for Love.  
Thelema is "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."  Agape 
is "Love is the law, love under will."  In the Order of the Thelemic 
Golden Dawn, one member greets another by saying the first of these 
statements, while the other replies with the latter.  It is also 
common for members of the Order to open and close letters with these 
statements.  The number 93 is, however, often used in their place. 

    93 is also the number of OIVZ, which Aleister Crowley's Chaldean 
rendering of the name "Aiwaz" to which he attributed much Thelemic 
significance, since its letters represent Baphomet (O) and the Three 
Grades (IVZ) of The Book of the Law (Liber Legis).  Aiwaz was the 
Angel who dictated The Book of the Law and he was Crowley's Holy 
Guardian Angel to whose knowledge and conversation he attained.  The 
Holy Guardian Angel is a name for our own true Self, that is, our 
quintessential solar being. 

    According to the Qabalistic Science of Gematria, words which have 
the same numerical value are descriptions of each other or they are 
indications of a single principle or idea.  This applies to Thelema, 
Agape and Aiwaz, their number being 93.  The nature of Thelema (Will) 
is Agape (Love).  But this Love is the Serpent Love of Liber Legis, 
that is, it is Love magically directed, under Will.  Aiwaz is the 
Angel who revealed unto Crowley the New Law of Will and Love by which 
we may perfect ourselves in Nature to accomplish our True Will and 
attain the Knowledge and Conversation of our own Holy Guardian Angel. 

    93 is also the number of LGS (Logos and Legis, the Word and the 
Law), MGIKK (Magick), BNI AL (Beni Al, the Sons of God), TzBA (Tzaba, 
meaning Star, Army or Host), LAShTAL (a Magical Formula of the New 
Aeon), and it is the number of the Magickal Word of the Neophyte of 
Aleister Crowley's Order of the A.'. A.'.  All of these words are 
indications and descriptive formulae of the nature of the 93 Current, 
which is another way of saying the New Aeon of Thelema. 

    Love is the law, love under will.
