Analysis of the Embassy Bombing
By J.J. Johnson
I appreciate the many responses to my previous post entitled An Act of War
. There are some (including my wife) who at first thought that this (the
Chinese Embassy Bombing) must be another Clinton set-up as we are all
known to hold such distrust for anything he does. Here in LA, most of the
talk-show callers believe Clinton is really up to no good as usual.
However after a detailed discussion with my wife, and other tidbits of
information we are aware of, we have good reason to believe that Bill
Clinton was not behind this one. In fact, I will explain in this article how
neither Clinton, nor any other officer in the U.S. military may have had
control over what happened. Sorry to disappoint the conspiracy theorists
out there (such as myself), but some things that we know plus a little
geo-political logic may lead to something more sinister going on here. This
will take a lot of explaining, so here goes.
Fact: This was NOT an accident
Like I said in the previous post, If, on a clear day, I can spot Old Glory
from 35,000 feet with the naked eye, why cant a trained pilot (with all the
NATO intel resources at his disposal) see a Chinese flag flying in from
15,000 feet?. Then, a friend writes:
Turns out that this wasn't a pilot guided bomb. Damn things were dropped
and guided by GPS signals, which means that the precise location had to be
programmed in, and that there should have been numerous checks on the target
coordinates. This is either an incredible string of Snafu's among a whole
mess of folks, or it is intentional. Though for the life of me I can't see
any positive side to this for it to be intentional
Hes right. There should have been numerous checks on this target. In fact,
the moment someone listed this as a NATO or US target, bells should have
been going off at the State Department. This leads me to conclude that
someone HAD TO KNOW that was an embassy. One quick scan of a Belgrade map
would have shown whos embassy. Someone wanted these bombs to drop there.
The questions are who, how, and why. The why question demands a
search for a motive. That will lead us to how and possibly who.
Motives.
There are some who will say that Clinton hit the Chinese Embassy to cover up
the Cox report or even to send a warning to China to stop Johnny Chung from
blabbing to the LA Times and to Congress later this week. Sorry folks, but
it doesnt wash. If you want to keep Chinagate out of the news, the LAST
thing you would do it target their embassy in Belgrade. In fact, you would
take special care NOT to hit THAT particular embassy. Anyone in the U.S.
Chain of Command from the President to the B-2 pilot could have waved it off
the attack. My suspicion is that they probably would have knowing the
potential ramifications. This incident has bombed China right on to the
FRONT page, not the back page.
So WHO would have a motive? To answer this, lets look at HOW this might
have been done.
Methods.
It came back to me during our dinner discussion, of a speech I heard former
Sen. Simon (D-Ill) gave the day I testified before the U.S. Senate back in
June of 1995. He stood with Sen. Carol Mosley-Braun before an Illinois
Constituents Coffee in the Hart Building giving the reasons why he was not
seeking another term. The one issue of importance here was the B-2 bomber
the same bomber used in this attack.
He described in detail how no (repeat-no) Senator felt we needed the B-2s,
but it passed in the Senate after the B-2 contractors lined the pockets of
just enough Senators to get it through. What is most important was WHY no
senator wanted it:
1) It cost too much to build and operate
2) Submarines already had the capability to do what the B-2 was supposed to
do
3) The CIA told a Senate committee that the Russians had figured out a way
to beat our stealth technology.
The third was the key. And remember, this was 1995.
Thus, according to U.S. Intelligence, the Russians can find B-2s and even
F-117As. Now lets jump over to the Chinese espionage ring of today.
As I put in my last post:
Since we now know that China has received targeting secrets from
the U.S. (giving the word Treason a new definition), we should ask ourselves
exactly what did they receive. Anyone can use math to get a missile from
point A to point B. There are a few variables that must be compensated for
during a missile flight. During this stupid encounter in the Balkans, we
have learned what guides these not-so-smart bombs to their targets:
Military- Encrypted Global Positioning System Satellites
If the Chinese took the technology to give them a better ability to target
their weapons here, they wouldnt need missile technology
They would only need satellite encryption codes and maybe a mother board
from a crashed rocket.
Probability #1: If the U.S uses satellites to guide their munitions, they
probably have their own group of military GPS satellites to do the job.
Probability #2: These satellites are probably encrypted to prevent Joe
Nerd or Mr. Spy from hacking into them.
Probability #3: If you have the codes to control these satellites, you can
control whatever type of missile uses it.
Sure, it maybe a stretch, but it would also explain why all these smart
bombs keep missing their targets. Didnt we hear about someone hacking into
a British military satellite shortly before this Balkan mess got started?
Every bomb that goes astray makes the U.S and NATO look worse. What if
someones getting good at it?
No, Im not saying that China would bomb its own embassy just to make a
point. If theyre running black-ops in Belgrade, it doesnt make sense to
blow up your own HQ during a war. Nor would you kill your journalists inside
whose been giving the Chinese people a nightly dose of Anti-American
propaganda.
This would eliminate China and the U.S as the cyberwar culprits. But what
about Russia?
Lets face it: The Russians may be broke, but theyre not stupid. They are
allies with Serbia. Spy games are being played by countries all over the
globe. And since our national security can be sold for the price of the
Lincoln Bedroom, whos to say the Chinese were the only takers? Maybe the
Russians got it from the Chinese (they have a military cooperation
agreement, you know). Heck, whos to say Monica didnt walk out of the Oval
Office with the company store while Bubba was smoking his wet cigar?
Old Boris stands best to make mileage out of this. They were trying to
broker a peace deal with the UN and not NATO. Now, this incident put the
Balkan mess right on the U.N. Security Council Table. Russia (and China) can
now play hardball.
So, the Russian tracks a B-2 (or an F-117A) in flight. Waits for the payload
to leave the bombay doors and then uses a U.S. bird in orbit to lock on to
it in route (since they have the encryption keys). Then, without
explanation, it strays off and hits
A train? A bus? A hospital? An embassy? The wrong country?
You get the picture. Ever notice that its always the smart bombs that go
off target?
Okay, call me crazy. During the cold war or even last year, this would be
called conspiracy theory. But this is 1999, and today its called cyberwar
. If what has leaked out of the Cox report so far is true, then this
scenario is a real possibility. And you gotta admit, if you can get away
with, its one hell of a tactical strategy.
Just my thoughts. Your comments are welcome.
