If they can do this with other animals, I wonder how far
off such a product or program is for people. It would be very easy
to put into place. Once it is used on animals it could be marketed
for people and offered on a voluntary basis, then it could become
mandentory. Now Read This.

SEATTLE (UPI) -- Seattle animal control officers are implanting
computer chips into some cats and dogs starting this week in hopes the
ID chips may save some lost pets from the pound.
The chips replace the plastic or metal dog tags that tend to get
lost. Each chip contains an ID number and stays lodged inside the animal
for the pet's lifetime.
Supporters of the voluntary program say it will save stray pets from
the pound and ease pet-owners' minds.
The little microchips are barely the size of a grain of sand, but
they could save the lives of lost pets.
In a one-year trial run of the pet tracking system in Salt Lake City,
more than 400 pets were returned to their owners.
